Saturday Emma went off to the church Easter Egg Hunt with my mother so I could stay home with still-sick Mary Claire and Allen could do his farm work. By that afternoon, Mary Claire was feeling a little better and heard the sound of the lawn mower in the front yard. Familiar with all the sounds on the farm, Mary Claire knew that could only mean one thing.... Daddy! She began hollering for him from her bedroom window, but since he couldn't hear or see her, she demanded we move to the front door, which quickly became the steps, then to the sidewalk. She scream "Daddy!" over and over until he'd look, then smile so big, wave, and just get ridiculously excited...
Of course, the second Allen stepped away from the mower... Mary Claire made her move! 
Mary Claire can't spend time outside without taking the time to visit with the dogs. Mary Claire loves all the animals equally, but Mala is always willing to give her some extra attention.

Unfortunately, this is as close as we got to having both girls in a picture together!!
