Blogging hiatus hopefully over. With the addition project then rolling into the holidays and then the "Big Snow of 2014" and the stomach flu that took down my family and on and on.... I have been slack and not so much as considered a new post in quite some time. Life is finally starting to fall back into a sense of normalcy. The snow is gone, the family is well, and peas are planted. This weekend we get two new baby hogs. Pinky Pie and Pinkalicious left us Martin Luther King Day and are now residing in our freezer and the freezers of our loved ones. We are looking forward to a new adventure of breeding and raising our own pigs. Allen and the girls have been hard at work prepping the new piggy home over the past few days.
We are also prepping and planning for what will hopefully be our first true market garden. Allen will still manage the Farmers Market on Saturdays, but most Thursday evenings you should be able to find a Baker Farm table selling some fresh produce and crafty items. So much to do before the season starts!
